Today we will show you how to wire the transformer into the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system. You will need the L5200 transformer, the alarm panel itself, a 22 gauge by 2 wire, and lastly a flat head screw driver. Depress the two tabs on the top of the system, be very careful laying the system down because you do not want to damage the 4.7 inch touch screen display. You will see both ends of the wire will be prepared differently. The end that is meant to get wired into the transformer will have less conduit exposed and more of the actual copper exposed. With the extra copper exposed you will see that you than want to take the ends and make two hooks with the ends, this will help you when you wrap them around the screws on the transformer. The other end of the wire will be going through the back mounting plate. On this side of the wire you will see their is more of the conduit exposed and less copper, this is so when you place the wire ends into the terminals there is less of a chance to have any copper exposed which could short your panel out. After you have place the red wire around the positive terminal on the transformer go ahead and do the same for the black wire to the negative terminal on the transformer You can go ahead and place the transformer down for the time being. Now go ahead and run the wire through the area as shown on the video and wire the red wire into the 9vdc this is where your red wire will go and GND is where your black wire will go. Now close your system up make sure the two depressions snap together and your all ready to give your wireless security system power!
